8? TEA TABLE DAINTIES. An " Excellent- Cake.—Take fib butter and beat to' a cream mix with it the whites and yolks of 'six eggs beaten separately. "Warn at' the t fire lib of flour, to which fib of white castor sugar, a little nutmeg, and a pinch of salt have been added. ' Stir in the mixture of eggs and butter to this, working them in very gradually, and beating the whole together for at least half an hour. Add a glass of white wine very slowly, and continue beating the mixture for ten minutes. Butter a cake tin and bake for at least an hour in a quick oven. A Delicious Recipe for Buns.—Rub 4oz of butter into 21b of flour. Add 4oz of sugar and two tablespoonfuls of carefullypicked sultanas. , Mix together two tablespoonfuls of cream with a dessert spoonful of baking powder, and a gill of new milk. Mix with dry ingredients, adding as much more milk as is required to form a light paste. Divide and bake in a quick oven on a greased tin.
