TAXATION PROPOSALS.
COMMUNITY'S SACRIFICE FARMERS ACCEPT FAIR SHARE. [by TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.] Palmers-ton North, Friday. At a meeting of the provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Onion, held to-day, the Budget was discussed, and the following resolution —"That the Wellington executive of the union wishes to express to the National Government their loyal support in this time of national crisis, trusting that in their necessary taxation proposals they will keep in viewequality of sacrifice by all sections of the community, farmers being entirely willing to bear their fair share in such sacrifice." LABOUR'S OPINION. TRADES COUNCIL'S RESOLUTION, iBT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington. Friday. The Trades and Labour Council resolved unanimously, last night: "That the council congratulates the wealthy landowners, merchants and manufacturers of this country on bavins a Government thet, when formulating taxation proposals, so carefully considers their interests and desires." -*
