ONE-TREE HILL AFFAIRS.
NEW DRAINAGE LOAN. The One-tree Hill Road Board met last evening. There were present: Messrs. H. B. Morton, chairman, T. Rows, H. Dobbie, 10. W. Hutchison, C. F. Mark, and C. l! Slyfield. The State Advances Board wrote informing the board that its.application for a grant of £500 for the purpose of completing the drainage works had been acceded to. A resolution making by-laws governing the sanitary arrangements within tie drainage area of the district was confirmed. The clerk was instructed to draw the attention of the health inspector to the nuisance created by the keeping of pics within the district. A resident of Aratonga Avenue wrote stating that the footpath near his residence had been considerably damaged by the recent heavy rains, and requested the board to repair the damage. The board deputed a committee to examine the thoroughfare, and report at the next meeting.
