450. Burke 284. Though bo far behind, Burke rose to the occasion, and a -perfect break of 108 came from his cue. the audience loudly applauding the splendid effort. It was anybody's same in the concluding stages, a 22 to each player being the best scores. Much safety play was • indulged in. but a lucky cannon practically decided the frame, which. ■was won by Warren by 32 points. Warren averaged 9.25. and Burke 8.66 per visit to the table. The averages were considerably lessened by the safety misses given during the game. H. Siedeberg and F. Goodhew will play the second eemi-final this evening >~t eight o'clock, and the winner will play Warren tor the title, 1000-up in two sessions, afternoon at three and evening at eight o'clock, on Saturday. The Aloock table played perfectly, and the club steward, Mr. B. Everett, at the marking board, gave complete satisfaction.
