WAIHI. £27,012 FROM 16,313 TONS. TOTAL TO DATE, £11,004,115. During the period ended August 28, the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Ltd , crushed and treated 16,313 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £27 012. Compared with the return for the corresponding period of last year, when 14,538 tons of ore were treated for a yield of £25,466, the present figures show an increase of £1546. Royal lode : East drive extended 29ft. 527 ft to 556 ft, value 24s per ton. At 550 ft east the lode is 10ft 6m wide, value 53 6d per ton. The lode is mixed with country. Empire lode : South section, east of No. 4 shaft, west crosscut, 59ft driven. 315 ft to 374 ft, value 16s 4d per ton ; the width of the lode is about 2ft. Princess lode : South from No. 4 shaft scut, 43ft driven, 40ft to 83ft,'' value 8s per ton." j

TALISMAN CONSOLIDATED.

£11,872 FROM 2780 TONS. TOTAL TO DATE, £2,507,775. The Talisman Consolidated crushed and treated 2780 tons of ore during the month of August for a yield of bullion valued at £11.872 Is Bd. Compared with the figures for the corresponding month of last year, the present return shows a decrease of £9658 3s 6d. In August, 1914, a total of 4280 tons of ore were treated for a yield of £21,530 5s 2d. The costs for the past month totalled 49s 3d per ton, made up as -follows: —Mine development. 25s Sd ; mining, 28s 8d; milling, lis 8d; general expenses, 3s 3d. The total amount of bullion won from the mine to date is £2,507,775 8s sd, as the following table of details shows : —

DIVIDEND DECLARED. A dividend, the 43rd, of 9d per share, has been declared payable on October 8 to all shareholders in the company registered on September 18. 'Hie payment will absorb £12,937 10s, and will bring the total dividends and bonuses paid einco reconstruction to £1,030,222 5s 6d.

ROSS GOLDFIELDS.

£216 FROM 794 TRUCKS. The return from the Ross Goldfields has been telegraphed as follows :— 540z from 794 trucks." The value of the return is about £216.

MONOWAI. The east crosscut at No. 4 level, Monowai mine, Waiomo, was advanced from 6ft to 12ft last week. The crosscut was penetrating a lode formation similar to the ore which formed the hanging-wall of the vein at Hollis's stopes.
