The Roll of Honour this week contains 216" portraits of New Zealanders -who have suffered in the recent fighting at the " Dardanelles. There are many war pictures from the Gallipoli Peninsula, and several of these show Auckland soldiers, who have helped to uphold the honour of New Zealand. A fine photograph in the issue shows a portion of Kitchener's Army being inspected before leaving for the firing line. A recent portrait of Earl Kitchener shows him renewing acquaintance with Indians, and there are a number of other war photographs that will be scanned with keen attention. . Daffodil Day in Auckland was a complete success, and an excellent series of snapshots depicts scenes on that day in the main thoroughfares of the city. The success achieved against the Germans by General Botha and the Union forces in South- West Africa is dealt with in an admirable photograph, showing the enthusiastio reception met with by the great general on his return to Capetown after his conquest. Another picture shows the Union forces returning to the capital of South Africa, while a third picture gives recent portraits of General Botha, General Smuts, and the Hon. John X. Metrician.
