CREDITS FOR £100,000,000.
FINANCING WAR PURCHASES.

New York, August 15. The British and French Governments are arranging credits amounting to £100,000,000 in the United States in order to finance war purchases and to counteract the depreciation in exchange. The American press points out that for thefirst time in its history New York is virtually the world's financial centre.
