Wellington', Saturday. Among sentences passed by the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, in the Supreme Court this morning were : J. Kirby. theft from the person, nine months; . George Penman, indecent assault, two years ; Thomas Alfred Rafter, indecent exposure, twelve months; Victor Praser, assault and robbery, three years : Matthew Bell, carnal knowledge at Westport, four years. Te Muera Tokaitua, charged with marrying Europeans at Otaki, and thereby committing a breach of the Marriage A:t, was discharged.
