MEAT FREEZING PROFITS. WANGANUI COMPANY'S BALANCESHEET. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, Saturday. The Wanganui Meat Freezing Company's report for the year ending July shows a profit of £26,504, including £7058 brought forward from last year. An interim dividend of 3 per cent.) absorbing £1564, was paid in January I last, and it is now proposed to allocate the balance as follows :—Write off for depreciation, £5628; transfer to reserve, £8000; transfer to equalisation dividend, £4000; dividend of 6 per cent, and bonus 4 per cent., £5231; balance carried forward, £2080. The dividend was withheld last year owing to the outbreak of war. The company during the year extended its storage accommodation by making provision for a further 30.000 carcases.
BUTTER AND EGGS. The Dairy Produce Committee has faxed the wholesale price for butter and eggs for the week ending August 21 as follows:— butter, Is 6d ; farmersseparator and dairy butter, Is; eggs lOd per dozen. ° '
