ATTACKS ON AUSTRIAN'S.
DEFENDING RIVER FRONTIER. (BeW<?d Augrust 16, 1 30 a.m.) XIPH, August 15. An official Servian report says that the Servian infantry and artillery on Monday defeated the enemy's attempt to strengthen himself at certain points on the leftbank of the Save and Danube. The Servian artillery on Monday night effectively attacked Austrian supply columns between Bercherova and Orchava and in the vicinity of Sokolavatz. The enemy, the same night, opened a violent infantry and artillery fire on the Servian positions at Dognjinilanovatz, but was promptly silenced by the Servian artillery. The enemy« on Tuesday, attempted to land on the right bank of the Danube near Golubac, near the Eoumanian frontier. The. Servians allowed the Austrians to come within Isyds of the shore and then opened a sustained fire upon them.
