DANISH WAR TAX.
SHIPPERS' PROFITS.
Copenhagen, August 13. The Danish Government is to place an extra war tax of 20 per cent, on surplus shipping profits. The newspaper Politiken estimates that the shipping companies have earned during the last year over a hundred million kroner (nearly £6,000,000) more than usual.
