PRICE OF BUTTER.
INCREASE IN DUNEDIN. REFERENCE TO A " FAMINE/' [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Detnedin, Wednesday. The price of factory butter has been raised Id per lb from today, and the retail price is now Is 8d per lb. In announcing the increase in price, the Taieri and Peninsula Milk Supply Company stated :—" Owing to the butter famine in the Dominion, we arc compelled to protect ourselves in regard to supplies for the public by increasing the price."
