WOUNDED IN ENGLAND.
COMFORT IN HOSPITAL- " SOON BACK TO FRONT." Times and Sydney Sun Services. London, July 6. The Australasian Convalescent Hospital at Harefield, near Harrow, 17 miles from London, is proving the greatest success. There are 270 wounded thriving famously. They are intensely satisfied with their treatment and surroundings. Boomy wooden annexes, each holding 21 beds, are being built with feverish speed to accommodate the steady stream arriving in England every week. The authorities expect shortly to accommodate 500, and will possibly have to build further annexes. The English neighbours are prodigal of gifts designed to improve the men's conditions. Wealthy Australians are equally generous. The men chorussed, " Tell our friends we are perfectly happy and will soon be back in the trenches. Send as many as possible to join us there." ._ Altogether there are 1100 wounded men and 100 wounded officers in England distributed in a score of hospitals.
