PRD CROSS COMMITTEE. A utrrrN'r: of the Red Cross Committee oi the Victoria League was held yesterday. Votes of thanks were passed to Mrs.', L Alexander for her contribution by watch competition of £318 7s 6d ; to Mrs. Hudson Williamson, whose Red Cross teas have brought in £280: to Miss Nolan, who has collected from Kohukohu £117, including £57 from Broadwood, in addition to sending a case of clothing: to the ladies of Te Awainutu, Henderson, Pnhoi. Warkworth, Okaihau, Mullet Point. Pntaruru. Te Puke, Tairua. Huntly, and other coup try districts for enthusiastic support in money and work. Three more cases of hospital clothing are ready for despatch and 100 kit-bags for returning invalids. An appeal is made for socks— washed and mended for magazines and literature for kits.
