CAMP DEATH-ROLL.
OVER 20 KNOWN CASES.
-THE OFFICIAL LIST.
The death-roll of recruits who have died at Trent-ham camp, or in hospital in the district, after removal from the camp, contains already over 20 names. The official record, which is published below, and which contains 18 names, is made up from December 29 to Friday last, July 2, since when, however, several other men are reported by the Wellington Post to have died. In the majority of cases death was due to complications following measles. The official list referred to is as follows :—

Harsant, A Company sth; died April 17, at Wellington Hospital. Private P. C. Baker. B Company sth; died May 10, at Wellington Hospital. Driver T. Kennedy, N.Z.F.A.: died June 11, at Wellington Hospital. Private S. Colley, A Company 6th: died June 11, at Wellington Hospital. Private A. N. McFarlane. A Squadron 6th; died June 16, at Wellington Hospital. Private H. W. Oliver. D Company sth; died June 20, at Wellington Hospital. Private J. Muriwai, A Company 2nd Battalion Trentham Regiment: died June 28, at Wellington Hospital. Private A. Matheson, B Company 2nd Battalion Trentham Regiment: died June 28, at Wellington Hospital. Private D. Bartlett, C Company 2nd Battalion Trentham Regiment; died June 30, at Wellington Hospital. Lance-Corporal E. H. Phillips, A Squadron 6th; died July 1, at Wellington Hospital. Private H. W. J. Stafford, D Company 2nd Battalion Trentham Regiment; died July 1. at Wellington Hospital. Lance-Corporal H. H. Fordham, A Company 7th; died July 2, at Wellington Hospital. Private J. W. Pollard, B Company 2nd Battalion Trentham Regiment; died July 2, at Wellington Hospital. The following four cases are additional to those contained in the official list: — Private Archibald Badger, of Christchurch, Special Infantry Force; died at Trentham camp, July 4. Private William Harris, of Anglesea Street, Ponsonby, Auckland died on July 5. Private W. Jewell; died of meningitis on July 5, at Wellington Hospital. Private Kenneth Calder; died on July 5, at Victoria Hospital.
