SNOW IN MANY PLACES.
FALL IN KING COUNTRY.
LAND-SLIDE DELAYS TRAINS.
Heavy falls of snow were reported in the Lower King Country and Ohakiuie districts on Saturday night. The nigh country for many miles was covered with a fall, which in gome places was inches deep. 'I he fall was particularly heavy at. Waiouru.
A land-slip occurred some miles from laumarunui on the northern side, and several trains were delayed. The inward express reached Auckland 011 time yesterday morning, but the train which left the city at 12.40 p.m. on Saturday did not arrive at 'laumarunui until 11.45 p.m., nearly 4j hours late. The slip was cleared in time to let the north-bound train pass.
SNOW IN WELLINGTON.

Wellington', Sunday. Bitterly cold weather prevailed here yesterday, and light snow fell during the afternoon in parts of th> city. The hills at the back of Brooklyn were covered with a thick mantle of snow, but the warm sun this morning quickly dissipated it. To-day was fine, although cold.
HEAVY FALL AT REEFTON. [by telegraph.—PßESS association.] Reefton, Saturday. A heavy fall of snow set in last night. The fall continued to-day.
THREE INCHES AT GORE. [BY TELEGRAPH ASSOCIATION-] Gore, Saturday. A heavy fal ! of snow occurred last evening, three incites of snow being on the ground this morning at one o'clock. Snow fell again this afternoon.
