BALACLAVAS NEEDED.
KNITTING DEMONSTRATION,
A gratifying response has been made to the appeal by tho Mayoress, Mrs. J. 11. Gunson, for Balaclava caps for tho men of the fifth and sixth reinforcement contingents, who are now in training at Trentham. So many inquiries from ladies desirous of assisting have been received that Mrs. Gunson has arranged with Miss Spedding to give another knitting demonstration in the Town Hall on Thursday, from 2.30 p.m. until 5 p.m. Ladies attending are requested to bring needles and wool. Printed instructions for the knitting of Balaclavas may bo obtained from tliel secretary of tho Ladies' Patriotio League Town Hall. ° '
