SUCCESS NEAR MONTE NERO. (Received June 19, 1.45 a.m.) Rome, June 18. It is officially stated that the Italians are progressing on both sides of the River Adige. They dismounted some Austrian guns in tha Carnic Alps, and seriously damaged the fortress of Malborgetto. The Italians made prisoners in the Monte Nero region GOO Austrians, including thirty officers, and captured many rifles and two machineguns. They annihilated a Hungarian battalion, which violently attacked the Italian positions northeast of Monte Nero.

An official report states " Very severe engagements in Galicia were continued on the 15th between the San, the town of Lubaczow, and in the vicinity of the village of Krakowice. The enemy was thrown back in disorder between the Dsmenitza and Stryi Rivers.

" Our notable captures above Zurano on the 14th and 15th included 202 officers, 8544 soldiers, six guns, 21 machine guns, caissons, and ammunition.

We annihilated the enemy's force which crossed the Dniester about Nizniow, between Lemberg and Czernowitz, and checked another which crossed below. The figthing continues. We pressed the enemy between the Pruth and the Dniester on the 16th. ,
