SAILORS'HOME COUNCIL.

The monthly meeting of the Sailors' Home Council was held in the Sailors' Home last evening, when there were present, Captain ]'. J. Thomas, president, anil 51 ess vs. H. Symons, E. H. Potter. E. Phipps, and .). Trevithick. It was -decided to hold the annual meeting on Monday evening it 8 p.m. The secretary reported that the average daily attendance at the home for the past month was 23.2. The noticeable falling off in the attendance was due to the slack period which has been experienced in shipping at the port recently. This lias also had nil effect on the financial position of the institution.
