Weliikgto.v, Monday. His Excellency the Governor has received a communication from the Secretary of State for the Colonies with regard to the Dominion's contributions to the forces at the front. The following summary has been supplied for publication—"While His Majesty's Government fully appreciates the desire of the people of New Zealand to provide all the assistance in their power it is of opinion that at the present juncture, as no arms and equipment can be tent to New Zealand from the United Kingdom at the present time, it would not. bo desirable to depart in any way from the curriculum of training and numbers arranged for the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces."
