THE LEAGUE GAME. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Football League met last evening. Present; Messrs. R. Benson, chairman, J. Ender.n, R. McDonald, R. Pollock, J. Fellows, C. Baker, R. Tatton, A. B. Cummins, X D. Cnlpan, and R. A. Spinley, secretary. The Junior Advisory Board reported that it had decided to recommend the committee to grant a transfer to N. Robertson from the North Shore Albions to Sunnyside. The application of A. Coagrave to be transferred from North Shore Albions to Sunnyßide was refused. The board decided to rc-pla.y the Mamikau-Richmond third-grade match, ai the referee had reported that tho result was greatly affected by tho action of the spectators in rushing on the field at various times. thus stopping the play. Owing to Mr. A. V. Tycr resigning his position on tho board in order to proceed to the front, Mr. G. T. Huntley had been appointed junior selector in his stead. It was also decided to recommend that the suspension placed upon C. Livovsidge, of Ponsonby, last year be removed The committee adopted th-i .recommendations, with the exception of the transfer of Robertson, which was refused. Tho committee also agreed to send a letter to Mr. Tyer thanking him for his services. The City Council notified tho committee that it had been granted permission to charge for admission to Victoria Park on June 19, when Grafton will play City. The I club proposed that the Giafton Athletic 1 team bo allowed to have Bennett, of the ' Newton Club, and to play tho rest oi Auckland. HOSPITAL SHIP FUND. ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY. i In order to assist the Hospital Ship and Wounded Soldiers' Belief Fund, the Management Commit tee of the Auckland Rugby League is holding a, seven-a-side tournament at Victoria- Park on Saturday afternoonI Matters in connection with the tournament ■nor© discussed last evening when the secretary, Mr. H. A. Spinley, reported to the Management Committee that His Excel; lency the Governor would probably a«enc the matches. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. H. Gunson, Mr. C. J. Parr, C.M-G., and ■ Mr. A. M. Myers, president of the league, would also be present The boy scouts would parade at the Drill Hall, under District Staff Adjutant Percy, and headed by the Garrison Band, would march to the park. Messrs. Stewart Dawson and Co. had donatod a cup value £10 10s for tho winnert of the tournament and at the conclusion m the matches it would be auctioned on behalf of the fund. An anonymous donor had also forwarded two jerseys of considerable historical value which he desired to be put in. for auction at the same time, the proceed!. Ito be donated to the fund. The red, yellow and black jersey was one of the set worn by I the New Zealand League team in the first international mutch played in New Zealand. The match was against the British team at the Domain in July, 1910. The red and white jersey was torn from the back of F. Wagstaff, captain of the British team which visited New Zealand last year, in the match against New Zealand at the Domain on August 1. The donor was informed by one of the managers of tho British team that it was the only jersey left in Now Zealand by th« team The gifts were accented with thanks. The draw for play is as follows:—2 p.m., Grafton v. Newton; 216 m., City v. Ponsonby; 235 p.m., Grafton v. Otahuhu B; 2.50 pro.. City A v Otahuhu A; 3.10 p.m., North Shore v. Ponsonby; 3.30 p.m., the winners of the Ci'y-Ponsanby and GraftonNewton matches. THE ASSOCIATION GAME. MEETING OF AUCKLAND EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Auckland Football Association was held on Tuosday evening in the Sports Clubroom. Present: Mossrs. D. A. Nathan (chairman), MoLuran, Carmichaol, Dance, Kirk, Bannister, Harvey, Philp. Hilford and Warren. Tho chairman extended a welcome to the hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Hilford, who has been absent in Sydney since the annual meeting. It was reported that gas was nAt available for lighting tho Domain pavilion. It was docided to apply to the Domain Board to havo the matter remedied. Tho transfer of Geo. Morris from the Tabernacle Club to Adult School being in order was granted. An application from the Tabernacle Club to have A. Girling regraded from senior to cocond division A was granted. The Adelphian Club also applied lor permission to play N. Wardeil of the second division in tho third division. It was decided to ! grant the application if the player can qualify in regard to the age limit. In the match Hotspur v. Adelphian played on May 29, tho latter club accepted the services of an unregistered player. It was resolved that the usual action be taken. The match was awarded to Hotspur. The Y.M.C.A. third division were dealt with in the same manner for a similar offence in their match Y.M.C.A., v. Wild Rose. The match was awarded to the latter club. Permission was granted the North Shore Club to arrange a match for their fourth grade if the ground is available owing to that team having a bye on Saturday. j There will bo no Association matches on Victoria Park on Saturday, owing to that area being otherwise engaged.
