[raOH OUR OWN COmSPONDESTS.] TE AROHA. BOROUGH COUNCIL. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council was presided over by tl'e Mayor. There were also present: Messrs. W. Mackie, J. Brown, J; D. Morison, T. Stanley, J. M. Bell, T. M. Pattullo, 0. Rayner, and W. Burrett. The overdraft was reported as £4107. It was agreed to ask the Bank of New Zealand for an overdraft of £5000. A pleasant euchre tournament was _held by the Te Aroha Oddfellows and friends on Thursday evening. The games resulted as follows:—Ladies: Mrs. Nelson, first; Mrs. Hedge, booby. Gentlemen : Mr. F L. Douglas, first; Mr. Ross, booby. A social in connection with the Eastport Road Methodist Church was held- on [Thursday evening, when a most enjoyable time was spent by all present.
