Burns; timekeepers, Messrs. J no. Russell and J. P. Page; door stewards, Messrs. J. A. Gillett, C. Eaetgate. J. M. iConnolly, M. B. Bicketts, C- WUwm, &■ Leonard: costume steward, Mr. W. Dervan; referee, for all contests. Mr. F. Burns. The principals in the contest for the professional middle-weight championship of flew Zealand. Barney Ireland and Bid. Mitchell, arc reported to be training consistently. Mitchell is working in Auckland, and is said to .bo in first-class condition- He is an aggressive boxer with a punch, and should mako matters interesting. Ireland, who is also said to be in good condition, may be expected to mix it with Mitchell. .He proved himself, when last seen here against Private Palmer, to be a boxer of, the rugged stamp, capable of giving and taking much punishment,' ..Followers of the sport look upon the match as one of the best made for some time. ' Three amateur bouts have been arranged. Craig and Wylie will box for Mr. A. M. ■Myers' gold medal, Closs and Robertson tor Mr- J. Gillett's medal, and McHugh and J. Sharp, of Taumarunui, for the association s £5 trophy. Seats may be reserved at Messrs. Wildm&n and Arey's, Shortland Street.
