THE GOVERNOR.
His Excellency the Governor, the Karl of Liverpool, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. Gavin Hamilton, returned to Auckland yesterday by the second express from Wellington. Last night, His Excellency and the Countess of Liverpool attended the annual meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association, 10-night, His Excellency will open the annual cx- [ hibition of the Auckland Art Society.
