A meeting of tho management committee of the Auckland Rugby League was held on Wednesday evening. .Present: Messrs. U. Benson, chairman, N. Cuban, A. iat ton, J. Endcan. McDonald, R. Pollock. H. Fellows, A. Cummins, and R. A. Spinley. secre- \ welcome was accorded Mr. Fellows, who had been appointed tho delegate of the Newton Rangers Club, in the place of Mr. it. Strong,- resigned. , On the application of the Otahuhu Club, tho registration of A. Richardson, an exHawke's Bay representative player, was approved, subject to his clearance being granted.- Other transfers granted wero: a. Sheehan, from Ponsonby. to City; L. Newman, from Newton to Thames Old Boys: v. R. Simpson, from City Rovers to Newton. The Newton Club having declined to transfer Hogan and Schofield to Thames Old Boys, consideration of the applications was held over for : a week. The proposed transfer ,of two Remuera third-grade players, F. Collins and C. Orams, to Grafton seniors was ciefwrod, while D. Young, 0. Grubb, and C. Davis wore re-graded. Tho Nowton Rangers gave notice of registration of 67 players, 41 new players were registered by North Shore Albion, while 14 nowcomers wore notified by tho Manukau | Club. North Shoro Club also gave notice of the registration of two new senior players, Clifford »and McKeown. ' A letter was received from .'he .Railway Department intimating that a special train would be run from Auckland to Otahuhu at 210 p.m. on Saturdays for the .accommodation of football players. 1 At a recent meeting of the management committee applications were received for tho uplifting of the suspensions on Messrs. Knox. Harker, and-'Child. t Tile committee decided to forward . the applications to tho New Zealand Council without comment, but the parent body returned them with * a request that tho Auckland League should-make a recommendation thereon. Accordingly, the committee decidcd to oppose tho uplifting of the suspensions on the threo applicants, in ' question, and forwarded a similar ' recom mendation to. the council in respect of an application from Lower Waikato lor tho uplifting of the suspension on Mr. Brigham. The Lower Waikato League forwarded a request- that the Auckland League ' should send a representative team to ' play ii match in tho Waikato, and the suggestion was hold over for further- consideration.
