LATE CAPTAIN WALKER.
MEMORIAL SERVICE.
The term end service in connection with King's College, which was held at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, yesterday, took the form of a memorial service for the late Captain H. J. I. Walker. Tho vicar, Rev. A. Fowler, conducted the service, and Bishop Averill road the lessons. In !the course of his sermon Mr. Fowler refeiTed to the late Captain Walker, whon he had known since ho first went to the parish. Captain Walker was one of the finest boys in the college, and gave one tie impression that ho had great reservo of strength and character. He became & loader in the school, and developed into a " u>: Jy man." Ho joined the army and had made his mark as a soldier. But now his work was done, and he rested in a grave in a foreign land. They did not mourn for him, but rather thanked God for having given him to them. King's College could well be proud of him, and he hoped, when tho time came, all King's College boys would do |heir duty as nobly as the late Captain Walker.
