AUCKLAND MAYORALTY.
In connection with his candidature for the Auckland Mayoralty, Mr. .1. H. Gunson addressed a meeting of 130 workers at tho gas works at Freeman's Bay yesterday. The candidate received a most cordial hearing, and his views on civic questions were listened to with marked interest. At the close of his address, Mr. Gunson was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence. A general meeting of . Mr. Uunson's combined committees is to be held at Ellison's Chambers, Queen Street, this evening. An address to the electors of Remuera was delivered last night in St. Aidan's Hall by Mr. R. Tudehope, in furtherance of his candidature for the Auckland Mayoralty. Mr. H. G. Murray presided over an attendance of about 25 persons. At the conclusion of his address the can- I didate, who spoke on the same lines as previously, was accorded a hearty vote! of thanks.
