NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE.

There is now a prospect that the construction works at the new Parliament Buildings will be resumed shortly. For some time the work has been hung up owing to the difficulty in securing suitable large blocks of marble from the quarries in the Motueka district. It is now announced that a supply of marble to meet requirements has been located three miles from the old quarries, but that about four miles of tramline will have to be built over difficult country. It is stated that the Government is affording assistance to push on with the tramline, 60 that the new source of supply may be available to draw upon in a few months' time.
