TRAI STOPPING PLACE.
A discussion, lasting for just one hour, took place at the City Council meeting last evening in connection with the Tramways Company's action in changing the stopping in Symonds Street, near the Karangahape Road junction. In view of the reasons advanced by the company, the Finance Committee endorsed the moving of the inward stopping-place from the southern to the northern side of Karangahape Road. Several of the councillor, considered that the committee should reconsider the matter. Eventually the com, mittee's recommendation was adopted.
