WEDGED ON A ROCK.
CEREMONIAL DESTRUCTION.
The captain of the American steamer Carib, while conversing with a naval officer at the German port of Bremerhaven, was told that the cruiser Karlsruhe struck a reef in the West Indies and became firmly wedged. The flag was hoisted and saluted by the crew, who then watched the ship "being blown up with dynamite while the band played the national anthem.
