PEOPLE TIRED OF PRIVATIONS AND REVERSES.
CRY OF '• DOWN WITH WAR" RAISED IX VIENNA. DEMONSTRATORS CHARGED BY TROOPS. Rome, April 2 The Austrian people, tired of privations and reverses, are agitating for a stoppage of the war. Violent demonstrations oecurred in several cities. In Vienna there were shouts of " Down with the war and army! Down with the generals!'' Attempts to stone the War Office were made. The police and troops charged, wounding several and arresting many.
