OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.
BOARDINGHOUSE DAMAGED.
GOOD WORK OF BRIGADE. A "RE occurred at about 3 p.m. on Saturday in a twelve-roomed boardinghouse in Grafton Road, owned by Mr. H. J. Holland and occupied by 'Mrs. B. Shernff. There was no one at home at the time, and when the brigade arrived smoko was issuing from the upper storey. The outbreak was eventually got under control, but by then three rooms had been completely gutted, and a fourth was considerably charred.
The contents of the rooms which escaped damage by fire suffered seven ly through water. Tho origin of the fre is unknown. The furniture was insured in the Liverpool and London and (Uobe Office for £360, but the insurance on the building is not known.
