The largo attendance is estimated at 60,000. Tho Now Zealand gelding Mernmax disappointed his supporters in the Hurdle Race, finishing sixth. The public selected Ulva's Isle to win tho Autumn Stakes. Sir Alwynton, however, beat the favourite in the last few yards. A bin field was saddled up to contest tho Doncaster Handicap. Woornli and Portrush shared popular fancy. The first-named flattered his supporters in tho early stages, but was unablo to last it out- Garlin was always in a good position, and took charge at the distanco and won a good race. Mr. K. Watt's colt Mountain Knight captured the St. Letter, defeating tho Champion Stakes winner Carl Thero was only three-quarters of a length between the pair as they passed the post, but tho winner appeared to have something loft. Garlin and Spurn, coming at a great pace, fought out a good finish, and tho first-named won by a length and a-half. Spurn was two lengths and a-hwf in front of Brattle. Traquotte was fourth.
