CHURCHES OF CHRIST.

THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE.

The thirty-second annual conference of the Churches of Christ, Auckland Province, was opened on Good Friday in the Queen's Hall Paget Street. The following churches were represented :—Ponsonby Road, Dominion Road, Richmond Road, Devonport, Onehunga, Avondale, Papakura, Wellsford, Port Albert, North Albertland, HelensviUe, Waipu, Warkworth, Hoteo North, and Grevmouth. The proceedings were opened with' a devotional meeting conducted by Mr. W. G. Oram. The general conference opened at 9.30 a.m., when congratulatory telegrams were received from the Southern ° and Midland Conferences of New Zealand, and the Victorian Conference, now sitting. The report of the Temperance Committee was adopted, and for the coming year Messrs. Noble, Skinner, Morton, Greenwood, Dewar, Mesdames Mason and Macdermott were ejected as members of the committee. Mr. Frank Evans was re-elected president, and an advisory committee, consisting of Messrs. a. Carr, jun., Percy Cammell, and Walter Taylor, was set up. The report of the Home Mission Committee was adopted. Messrs. E. Vickery, R. Dick, W. Page, G. Moyle, W. Cammel, Evans, and J. Allan were elected as the Home Mission Committee for the ensuing vear. In the evening the cantata "Dame!" was rendered to a crowded meeting bv the combined choirs of the suburban churches under the conductorship of Mr. A. M. Bryden. The conference will bold two sessions on Easter Monday.
