LOSS OF WILLIAM FRYE.
INDEMNITY DEMANDED. (Received April 3, 2 a.m.) Washington, April 2. The American Government has formally demanded from Germany an indemnity for the sinking of the ship William Frye, which, it is pointed out, contained as cargo wheat consigned to a private English firm, and which it was impossible to regard as contraband of war. /
