NORTHCOTE RATEPAYERS
♦ At a meeting of the Northcote Ratepayers and Householders' Association, Mr. D. A. Gray presiding, the revised rules were adopted. The executive was enlarged by the addition of Messrs. G. Richards, C. E. Judson, and A. T. R. Jamieson. A deputation was appointed to wait upon the Northeote Council supporting the view of the majority of the council that the site of the new post office should be in the vicinity of the council's office. It was resolved that Mr. A. E. H. Harrison be asked to become a candidate for the council, and Mr. I). A. Gray intimated that he was willing to also stand as the association's nominee.
The meeting adjourned till the 14th inst. to select candidates for the council election.
