TAUBE BROUGHT DOWN AND OCCUPANTS KILLED.
SUBMARINES BOMBARDED BY BRITISH SQUADRON.

Rotterdam, March 30.
The Germans at Zecbrtigge sent up a captive balloon. Allied airmen attacked it, but the enemy's batteries drove them off, four Taubes pursuing them.
An exciting encounter followed: One Taube fell on the dunes, and two airmen in it were killed. Allied airmen later reconnoitred over Zecbrugge, and assisted the British squadron to bombard submarines- The squadron drove back armed trawlers into the harbour.
