♦ The annual meeting of the Auckland District Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held in tho '. Eden Terrace Hall on Monday evening. i Bro. B. H. Killip, D.0.T., presided, and i there was a large attendance of members. ' The reports of the various officers > showed that the lodge was in a good posi- > tion, both in regard to finance and mem- ' bership. [ Tho following officers were elected:— ' D.C.T., G. Clark; D.Cr.,Bro.Cooke; D.V.T., Sister Wiltshire; D.S.J. W., Bro R. J. Welhara; secretary, Bro m H. Ingram; ' treasurer, 8r0..' Andrews; D. Marshal, Bro. Sharpe; D. Guard, Bro. Wilford; D. Chap., Sistex M. Harrison; D.E.S., Bro. Wild; D.M.D., Bro. Pease; D.M.D., Bro. Elliott; D. Sentinel, Bro. Webb; D.D. Marshal, Sister J. • Harrison; D. assistant secretary, Bro. P. i Wiltshire; D.P.C.T., Bro. Killip; district i messenger, Bro. S. Elthringham; Guide , editress, Mrs. Andrews. The following resolution was carried unj animously, and will be sent to the Prime Minister:—"That in view of the widespread disturbance of trade, and consequent unemployment and distress caused by the war, and of the shortage and inf creased cost of food supplies throughout t New Zealand, this District Lodge of the i 1.0. G.T. appeals to the Government to . take the necessary steps to prohibit the > waste of life-sustaining grain in the pro- ' "Auction of alcoholic beverages."
