ALLEGED THEFT OF CARGO
1 TWO ARRESTS MADE. A wharf labourer named Chas. Keatley, employed by the Northern Steamship Com- , pany, and a man named Jones, a seaman , on the company's steamer Taniwha, were ' arrested by Detective Gourley yesterday afternoon, and lodged in tho city police cells. The men will be charged a.t the Police Court this morning with the theft ' of a quantity of tobacco and matches from the cargo consigned by the vessel 1 for Paeroa.
