Macauley Treyclyan, a well-known writer, who has just returned from a tour in Servia, says that when the Austrians invaded north-west Servia they murdered 10,000 men, women, and children. Nearly a thousand people were shut irr their houses at Shabatz and burned ' alive.' Innumerable atrocities were perpetrated.
