AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
HOME MISSIONS FINANCE. The Auckland Presbytery met last night, the Moderator, the Rev. H. W. Johnston, presiding. A communication dealing with -the finances of the home mission was received from Dr. J. Gibb, of Wellington. In this it was pointed out that last year the expenditure on home missions was £6010, and the total receipts were £4800. .To meet the estimated expenditure, this, year a sum of £1270 must be obtained. Auckland's contribution to the fund last year was £460, but this year £613 was expected. On the motion of the Rev. A. Miller, it was decided to refer the matter to the local Home Missions Committee.
