(Received February 2, 8 p.m.)
Melbourne, February 2.
Major J. B. McClymont, of the New Zealand expeditionary force, who has returned from Egypt, said that he had read accounts of .the alleged bad behaviour of the Australian* in Egypt. He: cculd only say that he saw nothing to justify the reports. Considering that the men were comparatively untrained, their behaviour was excellent. In a large force one had to expect a few to ' kick over the traces."
Major J. B. McClymont. of the 14th, .South Otaco. Regiment of the New Zealand expeditionary fore?." was second in command of the Otasjo battalion.
