STOCKS AND SHAKES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
The sharemarket -was fairly quiet yesterday. In standard stocks, New Zealand Insurances were sought at £6 Is 6d, sellers holding for £6 3s. South British Insurances were in demand at 90s. In mining lines, Waihis were done at 40s 6d, sellers closing at 41s. Talismans were offered at 295, buyers being prepared to give 27s 9d. Waihi GranH Junctions found sale at 243 9d. Sellers of WaihiPaeroas quoted 20s, but there were no buyers.
