PRESSING THE OFFENSIVE ON LORRAINE FRONTIER.
GERMAN WORKS CAPTURED NEAR PONT-A-MOUSSON.
ALLIES MAINTAIN THEIR NEW-WON GROUND. Wellington, January 19. The High Commissioner reports from London, under date January 18:—
Paris reports state that near Autreces, north-east of Vic-sur-Aisne, two German attacks were repulsed. North-west of Pont-a-Mousson, near the German frontier, several German works were captured. Only a portion of Bois-le-Petre is still in the enemy's hands. The allies are repelling counter-attacks and maintaining all their gains.
