The annual tournament of the Dominion Bowling Association was continued in fine weather yesterday, when section play in the singles championship was commenced and completed. The event attracted aa entry of 136, and these were divided into nine sections, eight of 16 and one of '5 players. The sections were divided into sib-sections of four each, and play was conducted on the Dunedin system, which starts as section play and develops into the *' sudden death method of linding the winner of the green. The section winners yesterday were as follows : — Section A: Stokes., Grey Lynn. Section B: Harraway, Dunedin. Section C: E. J. Hill. To Hiwi. flection D: Crowhurst, Auckland. Section E: M. Walker. Ponsonby. Section F: Osmond, Auckland. Section G: Buchanan, Green Island. Section H: Jury, Karangahake. Section 1: Neill, Dunedin. The tournament will be brought to a conclusion £t Remuera green to-day, when the Bomi-final and the final matches of the singles championship will be played. An eliminating game will be played at 9 a.m. between Buchanan and Neill. The first round between section winners will commence at 10.30 a.m., the draw being: M. Walker v. Jury. Hill v. Harraway. Buchanan (or Neill) v. Stokes. Osmond v. Crowhurst. The draw for the semi-finals and final automatically follows the above order. The final wi'l start at 3 p.m. The conditions state iha.t all games are to be of 21 heads, ;-nd if a. tie occurs in the final a further '21 heeds are to be played. SECTION A (at Grey Lynn).
