Peteogead, January 17. An official communique states that the battle at Kauraurgan, on the Russo-Turkish frontier, lasted three days in an unceasing snowstorm. It ended in a complete Russian victory. The Turkish rearguard was annihilated. Remnants of the army, harried on the flanks and front, arc fleeing to Erzerum, in Armenia. The pursuit is being pressed. Fugitives, unable to carry their guns, flung them from the heights.
