(Received January IS, 1 a.m )
Rome, January 17,
News telegraphed from the Austrian frontier shows that the situation is daily becoming dangerous. Food is selling at famine prices, and discontent, is general. Anti-war demonstrations have been held in all the large centres.
The rioters constructed barricades in several towns. There were conflicts with the police, and many arrests were made.
