RUSSIANS ADVANCING IN EAST PRUSSIA.
GERMANS DRIVEN OUT OF VILLAGE WITH BAYONET
PROGRESS REPORTED IN THE MLAWA REGION.
Wellington*, January 14.
The Prime Minister has received the following cable from the High Commissioner's office, London, dated January 14:—Petrograd reports artillery fire and outpost skirmishes along the whole frontA Russian detachment is advancing in Eastern Prussia, east of Roson, and has occupied several villages. After a fight in one of the villages the Germans were driven out by a bayonet attack. South-east of Mlawa, in the north of Poland, the Russians have progressed in the direction of Radzanow. Several German advances were easily repulsed.
SKIRMISHES TAKE PLACE ALONG THE WHOLE FRONT
INTERMITTENT ATTACKS BY ENEMY REPULSED.

Petrogead, January 13.
An official communique reports artillery fire and skirmishes along the whole front. The Russians have made progress in East Prussia, and also south-east of Mlawa, in North Poland. In the southern area the Germans made intermittent attacks which were unsuccessful.
