Thames, Thursday. The pumping plant at the Thames Hauraki shaft ceased operations shortly before noon to-day under orders of the Drainage I Board and this finally stops all operations ! at the 1000 ft level, 'both by the Deep ' Levels Mining Board and trio May Queen . The face of No. 2 Wing drive to the south-east was extended 27ft in pay wash. No. 2 south-west drive was advanced 20ft in fair grade wash, and No. 3 south-west drive 16ft in pay wash. Blocking was proceeding at two faces off No. 2 southwest drive and in one block of the old workings.
