OPERA HOUSE.

Ihe weekly season at the Opera House will conclude to-day with the usual matinee and evening performances. The programme has found favour with large audiences each evening. DANCE CARNIVAL. A dance carnival is to be given by the pupils of Miss Cecil Hall in His Majesty's iheatre on Saturday, November 7. The total net proceeds will be handed over to the Belgian relief fund. The Mayor and Mrs. Parr, Mr. Burns,-Acting-Consul for Belgium, ar ,d M. Rigoreau, Consul for France, are heartily supporting the movement, and a large committee is working to make the carnival a success. "THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS." Mr. Edwb Kilpatrick announces that the season of "The Shadow of the Cross," now on view at 168 Queen Street, has been extended for another week, closing next Friday. The hours for the final week will be from eleven to one and two to five o'clock, thus enabling those having lunch from twelve to one to view the picture. The studio will be open this afternoon from one to five o'clock. BENEFIT ENTERTAINMENT. An entertainment in aid of the Belgian Relief Fund was given in St. Aidan's Hall, Remuera, ,'yesterday afternoon by the pupils of St; Aidan's Private Kindergarten. A large gathering of parents and friends of the pupils assembled and the children went through a long programme of marches and action songs in a very creditable manner. At the conclusion of the entertainment afternoon tea was served. The oroceeds, including the collection taken at the door and money from the sale of home-made sweets, amounted to over £8. SUNDAY CONCERT. The third concert of the series in aid of the Htmtly disaster, will be held tomorrow evening in the West End Theatre, Ponsoaby Road, under the patronage of Sir Joseph Ward. A good programme has been arranged. Mr. Jethro Lock will preside, and the following performers will assist in the programme:—Misses Herbert and Quinn, Messrs. Heron, Helriegel Kindly, Clapham, Engel, Schneider, Forrest, Smith, and Mr. Adeane's Orchestra.
